Personality // Viola is a dancer. It is her passion and her life, so she does as much of it as she can. Every time she hears a new song, she tries to come up with a dance for it, no joke! People know her as a sweet girl, who's fairly innocent, but not exactly "sheltered". She's not shy, since she's a performer; she's gotten used to putting herself out there in front of others. She enjoys going shopping from time to time with friends, but she keeps her trips infrequent enough to save money and keep them special.
If there's one thing she hates about people, it's when they insult her sport, because dance is a sport. She also gets a bit miffed when people block the hallways and she's having a rough day. Her favorite school subject is English, and she's really bad at Social Sciences. She hopes that one day, she can teach at a local dance studio. Preferably, she would teach hop-hop, but she'll take what she can get.
Family // Martin-- father
Melinda-- mother
Physical // Viola has a cute, round face with a few freckles dusted across her nose. Her eyes are green and wide. She's pretty short for a high school student, only about 5'2" when wearing flat shoes. Her figure is slim and flexible from all her years of dance. Her skin is pale, which offsets her chocolate-brown hair nicely. She likes her hair, usually, since it's soft and waves naturally, but hates how frizzy it gets when it rains. Her limbs are proportionally short to her body, but that doesn't impact the grace or fluidity of her movements. She pretty much always has her head held high, whether looking at a friend next to her or at an audience from the stage.
History // Viola started dancing when she was about 5 years old. She started, as most dancers do, with ballet to learn the basics. From there, she moved on to tap (which she didn't spend long in), and hip-hop (which she loved and spent a long time in--she started that at age 9). When she watched a local winterguard perform, she started getting involved in that as well, so she was dancing with props (flags, rifles, and sabres, mostly, though there are variations on those objects) and going to competitions. She had two best friends from school and dance: Jamie, who she first met in ballet, and Todd, who was in her curricular and hip-hop classes. They were always there to cheer on her and her guard. She was really happy with them.
She moved to Akron from Chicago for high school. Her dad had gotten some fancy management job at some office building, so they had to move away from the big city. Viola was sad to leave her friends, but her dad's new job at least could pay for better dance lessons, and maybe some new equipment. She made a few new friends in high school and in dance, but wasn't sure about joining Vocal Adrenaline as a dancer, since she couldn't really sing too well, even if it was the closest thing they had to a dance team. Still, just being in Carmel High was pretty exciting. The school was huge, and they had a "free" gym period, and she spent a lot of tome dancing-- her favorite form of exercise. She cheered for her friends when VA brought back a trophy from Nationals, and she found hat she couldn't wait for the next year's shenanigans.

Wow. Viola couldn't believe at first that anywhere could have more corn than Illinois, but she had been proven wrong as her father drove her small family through Ohio. It wasn't that far away, but she still couldn't see her friends Jamie and Todd as often as she wanted to. Her dad had promised her more advanced dance lessons (probably to bribe her), but that didn't stop her from being unhappy, or the car ride from being incredibly boring.
She tried counting fields to pass the time. She lost count at 53. It wasn't too long after that, though, when she saw actual buildings instead of barns.
"Finally!" she cried, jokingly. "Civilization!" The small family chuckled a bit at her outburst, but understood that they all wanted to see the new house and get some fresh air. Viola quickly texted her friends that she was almost there, promising pictures and stories about he new neighbors, and sat back, waiting for her dad to pull into one of the devastatingly suburban driveways.
"So," Viola's mom said, "you'll be off to school next week. Are you excited or nervous?"
"Mom, since when have I ever been nervous? All I'm thinking right now is that the school and dance lessons better be worth it. Jamie and Todd are my best friends!" she answered.
"And I'm sure you'll make new friends here," her mom replied. "you know you can always Skype your friends, or whatever communication technology they've come up with these days." She turned to her daughter and smiled warmly; a smile the tiny dancer returned.

WHAT ABOUT YOU
Name // Hey all! It's Nut again!
Age // It's still the same as Minty's
RP experience // 2 years? I think it's two years
Other// I tried using this character before, but that rp died. Hopefully, things will work out better this time! Also, filling out her history, I just remembered Footloose... Sorry to remind anyone of the never-ending nightmare, it was unintentional, I promise! I don't plan on there starting to be a Footloose plot, because I know how haunting it is. Okay, I'll stop talking about it here. Sorry again!
